Dr. Suzanne Gildert is a roboticist, quantum physicist and technology builder. She is the founder and CEO of Nirvanic AI, a frontier neolab in Vancouver, Canada building a new kind of foundation model for robots: minds that learn from experience, and keep learning on the job.
Suzanne has spent more than a decade building artificial intelligence for general purpose robots. She co-founded Sanctuary AI, where she was co-CEO and later CTO, and led the creation of its general purpose humanoid robots. Before that she co-founded Kindred AI, the first robotics company to use reinforcement learning in a production environment. Kindred was acquired by Ocado in 2020.
Earlier, at D-Wave Systems, she developed AI algorithms for quantum computers. She holds a Ph.D. in experimental quantum physics from the University of Birmingham, and is named as an inventor on 67 filed U.S. patents in robotics, AI and quantum computing.
